Personalized baby gift

I needed a baby gift for my great niece so I painted a sign that I had hot pink (sorry no picture available.)
I added vinyl letters spelling her name and painted over the entire sign again with Annie Sloan chalk paint in the color of Henrietta.

After the paint dried I pulled off the letters and here's how she turned out.

Here she is sitting on the table painted in the same color.

chalk paint retro table

I found this cute little round table for $1.00 all it needed was a little love.  I picked up a small container of Annie Sloan chalk paint when I was antiquing with my sisters a few weeks back.  I couldn't decide what color to try.  "Henrietta" won out.  Too funny, that just happens to be my mother's name so I couldn't pass it up.  I needed the perfect table to try it on and this was the one.

"Henrietta" is a very pretty color.  It's a nice combination of pink and purple together.  Here's how she turned out.

I have painted a few piece with homemade chalk paint, but using the real thing was awesome.  I will be buying more Annie Sloan paint for sure.

$1.00 retro table + chalk paint = perfection

Table redo $4.00

This was a yard sale purchase a few weeks ago.  I paid $4.00.

I started out with Miss Mustard Seed "Tricycle" paint

It wasn't what I was looking for so I painted over the entire piece with black.  I distressed it with sandpaper and here is the finished product.  You can see the tricycle color peeking through.

This piece is going to the shop for resale

Hot Pink table

My friend Jen gave me a table a few months back to see if I could work my magic.  It had a broken leg.  No worries,  my handsome hubby fixed the leg and it's been sitting in my work room waiting for a remake.  I was undecided what direction I wanted to go with it.

Finally I decided on hot pink.  I've been seeing alot of shiny tables all over blogland so I decided to give it a try.  All I did was use a can of glossy spray paint.

I think it turned out really cute.  Wouldn't it be really cute in a little girls room or a teenagers room?  I love how shiny it is.  That is exactly how I wanted it to look.

Plant stand to side table

A few weeks ago I bought a plant stand from a yard sale for $3.00 and I told you that I had plans for it.   The round metal piece beside it came from my own stash.

I added some words with my vinyl letters to the top and painted over the letters with a few different coats of paint.  I wanted it to look beachy and worn.

After the paint dried I removed the black vinyl letters and sealed the top.

Next I got out my liquid nails and glued the top to the base.  Here's the finished product.

Not bad for a $3.00 plant stand remake.  The best news is I took it to my shop on Thursday night and it sold on Friday.  I have a few customers that love beach items.

Another table..........

This table cost me $12.99 at the thrift store.  I got so excited to start on it that I forgot the before picture.  Sorry.   It just needed a little love.  I tighened all the screws, gave it a coat of black paint, distressed it very little and waxed it.

Here's what she looks like.........

Don't mind the spray paint on the floor.  This isn't the paint I used.  I brushed the black paint on.

I like the finished product.  If you notice the "O' tags on everything it's because I sell a lot of the items that I redo at a local consignment store.  The "O" tags are my price tags.

Again, thanks for looking around leave me a comment so I know you stopped by.

Beach themed table

I purchased this plant stand from the thrift store for $2.99.   I gave it a coat of paint, distressed it and added fishing net to the inside.  I glued sisal rope around the the edge then glued sea shells to the fish net and topped it off with a round piece of glass, that I had laying around my craft room looking for a home.

Here's another view of the table.

It really looks cool in person  It's hard the get the round glass to photograph right.

I love how it turned out and It only costs $2.99.  I had the paint, rope, shells, fishing net and glass already.

Thanks for checking out my table. Leave me a comment so I know you were here!

SIMPLE but very cute

Here is the before version of the bar stool leftover from a set that I had at one time.  Just plain and boring.

Here is the updated version using just some paint and an uppercase living snowflake on the top. I took a scrap piece of wood and painted it to match the top of the bar stool and used another uppercase living expression that says welcome.  A little bit of gorilla glue and a couple of snowflake ornaments and this is what you get.

I like how it turned out.  Simple but very cute.  I was thinking of adding some Christmas greenery but decided against it.  This way it can be used all Winter instead of just Christmas time.  I live in Western Pennsylvania so unfortunately the winters are long.

Hopefully I inspired you to take something old and remake it to something new and useful.

SECOND GO ROUND FOR THIS TABLE

This is the 2nd go round for this table.  I didn't take a picture of it when I purchased it at a yard sale this summer.  The table was just bare wood and the top had a split in it.

I covered the top with scrapbook paper and painted a distressed the rest of the table.  It was like this for about 3 months and I was ready to redo it again when Hubby suggested that I add a ceramic tile to  the top  to cover the split in the wood.

I did just that, I purchased a ceramic tile from Lowes for $5.24 and Hubby glued it to the top of the table and here is the finished product.

Much better.  This is a keeper!

another table ready to go.......................

Here is another table ready for the open house.

Can you see the beat up table that has the snowman propped up against it, I found it in a barn sale and saved it.  I cleaned it up and painted it red, antiqued it and distressed it.

This is what it looks like now...........

I love how it turned out.  It was hard to let it go.

Antique Red Table-redo

Here is another table that I purchased from a yard sale and repurposed to a beautiful red antique table.

This table sold in 4 days.  Here is the before and after.  Please leave me a comment and tell me what you think.  I'd love to hear from you.
BEFORE
This is the finished product.

-I was so afraid to paint it red but I am so glad that I did.
-I antiqued over the red and distressed the entire table just a little.
-I finished it with a clear wax.
-I left the underside of the table the original color so you could still see the original marking.

I'm picturing this bench right inside the door so you can sit down and remove your shoes or use it as a table beside your favorite chair.

I loved this table so much it almost didn't make it to the Shop for resale!

Thanks again for stopping by.  I'm linking up to betweennapsontheporch.  Please leave me a comment so I know you were here!
