A few pictures of my spare bedroom all for under $150.00

-black & white curtain made from the flat sheet of the bed-in-a-bag  (Penney's clearance $35)

-large body pillow covered with fitted sheet

-black/white/pink pillow shams picked up at thrift   store for $1.99 for the pair

-white pillows forms purchased at yard sale $1 each

-black round pillow purchased yard sale $1

..another view of bed so you can see the footboard too.
-nightstand to the left of the bed belonged to my parents

-Large dresser and night stand that belonged to my parents was repaired and painted black by hubby and me.
-stacking boxes purchased at thrift store for $1.99 for all five.  I added scrapbook paper to the lids  to coordinate with the room.
-small frames with family pictures purchased at yard sales for $.50 each.
-black frames beside the dresser purchased from yard sale and repurposed with sunrise pictures taken on vacation in the Dominican Republic by me.
-lamp from Goldstein's furniture store on the clearance table for $10

-tall candleholders purchased at consignment store for $4/pair
-black candles purchased hobby lobby clearance isle $2 each
-more small frames with family pictures
-sheet music candle that I made with sheet music purchased from thrift store for $1, a candle from Walmart $3, some old ribbon and an antique button. (I copied this idea from Pottery barn catalog)
-sheet music coaster is a leftover ceramic tile and my signature "O" purchased from hobby lobby clearance isle for $.49 tied on with black ribbon.
-wicker night stand purchased yard sale for $10

I love remixing old with new.  The dresser and night stand along with all the old family pictures are very special to me.

I like copying ideas from catalogs using items I have around the house and I love to sew, so making pillows and curtains is my "therapy."

I hope you enjoyed my spare bedroom redo or as my Granddaughter calls it "HER ROOM."
